Spring Wreath

Sorry for the overload of posts, I'm still not very good at the whole blogging thing, but it will get better I promise.  So we saw this on pinterest and thought it was so adorable.  We always want to try to make things on our own.  Our favorite place to buy craft supplies is Hobby Lobby.  So we found the grapevine wreath there and also the wood letter.  I bought some of the tulips at Hobby Lobby, but the tulips I bought from the Dollar Tree were the ones we ended up liking the best. This was so simple to put together.  We stuffed the tulip stems through the wreath. Then topped it off with a cute bow and the monogram letter.  It stayed together through the spring weather and was so gorgeous.

Holiday Picture Frame

So last year we did this picture frame craft. We got a wood frame and painted it a neutral color so we could use it all year long.  We cut cardboard to fit the frame and covered it with burlap.  To make this fourth of July flag we use rick rack ribbon, then we got a thicker piece of blue ribbon and glued rhinestones to it for the stars.  We loved it so much that throughout the year we have worked on making more pieces to put in the frame for different holidays.

So far we only have a few holidays, but we try to use different materials for the character or object we put on it. We also have tried to use different backgrounds, even though our favorite to use is burlap. I think this is a simple, cheap craft, but is totally adorable.  The best part of this is that we get to think out of the box for each of the holidays.  We do seem to like buttons though! :) We will update as we make more for the other holidays.
