Primary Advancement Gifts

I saw this cute teacher gifts for teachers being released from primary and thought it would be a good gift for kids turning twelve and advancing from primary.  So of course I had to make it more kid friendly.

So I saw these gumball machines at the Dollar Tree.  They come in your basic primary colors; red, yellow, and blue.  I ended up buying a case of 24 online.  I bought a big package of gumballs at Walmart for about $8.  Then I decided that I would use my new Silhouette to put the child's name on the machine with vinyl.  I thought it turned out really well for a fairly inexpensive price and it took maybe 10 minutes to make. Those are the best kind of projects!  I feel so accomplished when I get a project done!

Primary Birthday Gifts

This year in primary our theme is "I Know My Savior Lives."  So as a presidency we decided to make these blocks to give to the children for their birthdays.  The pictures are pass along cards that I bought at the distribution center in a pack of 100 for $2.  I bought a 2x4 for about $2 or $3 that was 8 feet long.  I cut each block 7 inches, so I got 13 blocks from each 2x4.  After I did it though, I decided that 7 inches was too long so the next batch I make will be 6 inches.  The best part of this project is that I got a new Silhouette Cameo for Christmas from my wonderful husband and I was able to use it! :) I cut the vinyl out all by myself on my new machine.  So this project was simply and turned out great for our primary kids.
