The board we bought at our local Ace hardware, then we bought two other wood pieces. We painted the wood pieces with chalkboard paint and glued them on. We used gold vinyl lettering for the "days until." Then we decided to spruce it up by adding the hook so we could put different things to represent what we are counting down to.
This is the cute little wreath we made tor represent Easter. We bought the wreath at Hobby Lobby and the colored Styrofoam eggs came from the Dollar Tree. I was a project that took us about an hour to complete and the kids absolutely love it! They love to count down anything, and that is the beauty of the whole project.
